About

Silversmithing leads directly on from my experience as a textile artist. While my jewellery often intuitively reflects the techniques and structure of woven fabric, I am also attracted to geological and natural forms, texture, and the patinas of aged metal.

Because of my interest in ancient hoards and treasure trove finds, I use simple methods of working – hammering, forging, bending, layering, patination and burnishing, and I try to bring elements of ancient design to a contemporary level.
